What Has Happened Here?

Friends, family, they gather all around,
As long as you’re alive, they watch your back,
When you’re sad, they won’t let you hit the ground,
You say you have no friends? You get a *SMACK*!

Please remember, both boys and girls alike,
To not play with the other’s fragile heart,
Think about it; you only get one strike,
Those of you who strike out, why even start?

I now wish to address the main issue:
Where has our sense of community gone?
I don’t mean the kind where I talk to you,
I mean the kind where we all live a song.

And at last when what I’ve said has been done,
Finally, we will be living as one!

Decisions

Should we say it, or should we back away,
Should we just go ahead and speak our mind;
Sometimes we wait and we wander astray,
But then that chance we had is left behind.

What if we do go and shout it all out,
But it’s too early and we fall apart?
What if we let it pour like from a spout,
And becomes what we want: a brand new start?

These are the thoughts that pass through all our brains,
Should the girl be asked by the love-struck boy?
If she says no, here comes a heap of pains,
But if yes, then an overwhelming joy.

All these thoughts just go right on rushing by,
And we are back to where we started. Why?!

The Great Love Letter

The most famous love letter ever scrawled,
It has a total of sixty-six books,
When it was finished, everyone is called,
Never to turn back like we're snagged on hooks.

This letter shows love and teaches us, too,
It is from the Father we have above,
The same Father that has made me and you,
He made peace that is shown by the white dove.

No one can ever beat this love letter,
His love cannot be beaten by a man,
Nothing that we can feel can be better,
Everyone on this world sits in His hand.

It says we can't love an object, idol,
The love letter I speak of, the Bible.

Where Do We Go Now?

We walk the path that runs the thing called love,
We never know where it goes till we’re there,
Everything I do, will it ever be enough,
I want to know what you feel, I do care.

We go through life wondering how it ends,
What we do know is the line is not straight,
It twists and turns, it weaves and bends,
We won’t know what life’s for until our fate.

We drive down the road that we call friendship,
We stick together when we do dumb stuff,
There comes a time when we must board that ship,
The one that says making friends isn’t tough.

Now we have the bond we have been sewing,
We won’t stop there; we’ll just keep on going.

Love

Does anyone really know what love is?
Is it a feeling we have in our heart?
We know it starts when your heart linked with mine,
But when did what we call love really start?

Did love start when my eyes looked into yours,

Or was it the first time I heard your name,
My heart was hard but now meet open doors,
When you call me I hope to meet the same.

In the past, love has caused me so much hurt,

Each time I see you my heart starts to heal,
When you speak, I listen to every word,
You have no idea how you make me feel.

When you're around I feel like I could fly,

Hear the words I say, "May I be your guy?"

The Definition of a Friend

They're the people who don't care what you say,
They're the people who don't care what you do,
Those people who will help you any day,
The people who are always there for you.

Sometimes it's hard to get up when you're down,
Remember there are people standing by,
Just ask for help to pick you off the ground,
No one can help if you don't let them try.

The worst feeling is to feel all alone,
Life alone can lead to insanity,
Some days you just start acting like a drone,
Someone please help, just show humanity.

There are people who have a hand to lend,
Each person beside you is called a friend

The Ultimate Sacrifice

LORD, I do not deserve your love, it’s great,
Your Son - nails piercing his hands like sharp knives,
The Romans’ only feeling for Him: hate,
He must be killed to save our shameful lives.

After six hours, his blood ceased to flow,
And when he died, the skies turned deathly black,
But three days later, he made quite a show,
He’s not dead, he’s alive, he has come back.

The whole plan was to stop His beating heart,
He died to save us from our deadly sin,
He gave all our lives a chance to restart,
He gave us a chance to really begin.

God so loved the world he gave his one son,
Satan has been defeated, God has won.

Dreams

Dreams. They are so mysterious to me,
I know that it is started in the brain,
For some, what it does is fill them with glee,
For others, it makes them cry tears like rain.

Dreams. They can make some people feel so strong,
But in real life, they may be so weak,
They may try something that goes very wrong,
Then peace-of-mind is all that they will seek.

Dreams. They can easily be far too real,
Whether they are good or are bad nightmares,
Both can easily change just what you feel,
You can feel loved or feel that no one cares.

Dreams. They can change people’s lives forever,
Dreams. They can make a man’s life endeavor.

Life

Life is the roller coaster which we ride,
As the car speeds up, we begin to scream,
The only hope think we have is hide,
When we open our eyes, hope is a dream.

We look up from this hole and see blue sky,
The only way to get help is to shout,
However, no matter how much we try,
We will never succeed at getting out.

The dark night turns into a deep orange dawn,
Finally, the heat of the rising sun,
For a moment, we all thought hope was gone,
The final, dying wish for us: to run.

When we tire, we let out one last breath,
We can run no longer, we live in death.

What Others Say Isn't True

You say you've felt pain all throughout your years,
A pain worse than a cut or broken nose,
Too many times I've seen you shed some tears,
It's the cruel words on which you've overdosed.

They say you're ugly, they say that you're dumb,
Their painful words have broken your sweet soul,
When I call your name, I wish that you'd come,
I want to say some words to make you whole.

You're more than pretty, you are so gorgeous,
The mean words which they've said, they are not true,
That freak they made you feel, that is a "was,"
I want to help unveil the new, true you.

The words you've heard, they were too great a crime,
I see you for who you are, you are fine.
