Hundreds of years ago, the church was strong,
Throughout the Roman Empire, Jews prayed,
Because of persecution, days seemed long,
Because of their religion, they were slain.
These days we are not faced with that danger,
Though we’re His children, His Word we don't share,
He is our LORD, our mighty life-changer,
One might even think we don't really care.
One day I envision a world of God,
"To live’s in Christ, to die is gain," said Paul,
One day, we won’t be standing on this sod,
We'll be in heaven; hear His booming call.
He's the Father, the Son, and Holy Ghost,
He's the one in which I would like to boast.
